Stoke reject opening Burnley offer for Collins

Stoke have rejected a £4.5million bid from Burnley for their promising Republic of Ireland Under-21 defender Nathan Collins.

Collins, 19, has become a regular under Michael O'Neill this season and has attracted interest from Burnley and Arsenal.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has money to spend this month following the club's takeover by ALK Capital and the Clarets have made an offer, says the Mirror.

But Stoke have dismissed their bid and it is understood they would want at least double Burnley's offer to consider selling Collins.

Collins still has three-and-a-half-years left on his contract at the bet365 Stadium and the Potters feel he could have a bright future with them.
