Stoke City have rejected Burnley's offer for Jon Walters, according to reports from The Sentinel.

Jon Walters is expected to be leaving Stoke City this summer after failing to earn regular first team football at the Bet365 Stadium last term.

And reports had recently claimed that Burnley placed a £3million offer for the Irishman.

However, it has now been revealed that Burnley's offer was well below the alleged £3million mark that had been reported in the media.

Stoke City have gone on to duly reject the bid which they consider 'derisory'.
