Stoke City are pushing to wrap up a deal for Bayer Leverkusen defender Philipp Wollscheid.
The Mail on Sunday says the Potters are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a loan deal for centre back Wollscheid.
The 25-year-old, who was a target for West Ham United and Southampton last summer, will join for the rest of the season with view to a permanent deal in the summer.
He is due to train with Stoke ahead of finalising terms.
