Stoke City have made a second offer for Dundee United defender Harry Souttar.

The Dundee Telegraph says the Potters have upped their first offer of £250,000 by at least £100,000 without success.

It is believed Stoke are now preparing a third bid for the 17-year-old.

United regard Souttar as a gem who will develop into a top star and they aim to do all they can to hang on to him for a few more years.
