Stoke City are considering making a swoop for Newcastle United left-back Paul Dummett, according to reports from the Chronicle.

Dummett played a key role last season in helping Newcastle United earn promotion into the Premier League, only failing to appear in one Championship match.

However, with the Magpies set to sign Kieran Gibbs this summer, the Irishman's long term future at St. James' Park has been cast into doubt.

The likes of Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion have also been credited with an interest in signing Dummett recently.
