Stoke City are in talks to sign Tottenham winger Jack Clarke.
The Daily Mail says the 20-year-old had spells with Leeds and QPR last season and Tottenham want him to gain more experience and game time.
He came on as a substitute during Sunday's emphatic FA Cup win over Marine but further opportunities are likely to be limited.
Other Championship clubs have shown interest but Stoke are now leading the way.
Manager Michael O'Neill has been busy in this window having secured Rabbi Matondo from Schalke and left back Rhys Norrington-Davies from Sheffield United.
He also hopes to add Aston Villa's Keinan Davis after injuries sidelined Tyrese Campbell and Steven Fletcher.
Stoke have also won the race for Charlton's Alfie Doughty though he will remain with the League One side on loan.
