Stoke hoping for good news on Sidibe injury

Mamady Sidibe is awaiting scans on the knee injury he sustained ahead of Stoke's reserves match on Monday.

Sidibe faces tests to determine whether or not there is serious damage.

"We don't know whether it's torn or ruptured, but they think it might be the cruciate ligament," he said.

"If it's only a slight tear then I could be back before the end of the season, but if it's ruptured then it will be months.

"It doesn't feel too good, but we'll see what the next specialist says.

"They're thinking about putting a camera in there to see if what the damage is but if it's nothing then it will take three weeks to get over the operation."
