Sheffield United striker James Beattie could be on his way to Stoke City, skysports.com claims. A reported fee of £2.5million is thought to have been agreed between the two clubs, with Beattie having visited Stoke's Britannia Stadium this week.
Beattie has not played in the top flight since leaving Everton for Sheffield United in 2007.
