Stoke City are finalising a deal for Sunderland captain Dean Whitehead.
The Sun says Tony Pulis is set to make Whitehead his first summer signing in a £2.5million deal.
Midfielder Whitehead, 27, will sign a three-year contract at Stoke after quitting Sunderland following five years on Wearside.
He had already snubbed Ipswich.
