Stoke face longer wait for Afellay return

Stoke City face a longer wait to welcome midfielder Ibrahim Afellay back from injury.

The Daily Star says the 30-year-old former Barcelona wide player snapped cruciate ligaments in a training ground accident back in April.

He's recovering from surgery but won't be back as quickly as expected.

Stoke's medical team believe Afellay will need another three months to be back in contention.
