The Potters are competing with Spanish clubs for the defender.
La Contra Deportivo reports Espanyol are not the only team interested in taking the services of Nelom.
Stoke City also intend to hold talks for the player whose contract ends in 2018.
Feyenoord are seeking around €1 million for Nelom.
