Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is eager to increase his chase for Robin van Persie.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Potters are desperate to revitalise their attack this summer and are hoping to lure van Persie from Fenerbahce.

It is understood that the Dutchman is unsettled in Turkey and would welcome a Premier League return.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker's representatives have made contact with some English top flight clubs, which has left Stoke and Middlesbrough showing significant interest.

It is believed that after initially turning down interest from teams in England, 32-year-old van Persie is prepared to take a pay-cut to leave Istanbul.
