Stoke City defender Marc Muniesa insists he can succeed at centre-half in the Premier League.
The 5ft 10in defender impressed when he needed to cover for Marc Wilson (thigh) in the middle of the back line as the Potters secured a 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
"That's my favourite position," he told The Sentinel.
"I've always said I feel more comfortable playing at centre-back because that's where I always played when I was at Barcelona.
"I think against Spurs I did well so I'm really happy for me and for the team.
"I don't think my size is a problem. If you look at Barca they played (Gerard) Pique (6ft 3in) and Puyol.
"Puyol was shorter than Pique and they made a really good partnership. It's not a problem.
"I have one set of characteristics and Ryan Shawcross has another, and I think together we can work very well."
