Hannover 96 are wrapping up the signing of Stoke City defender Kevin Wimmer.

The Austria international is in Germany having already taken his medical at Hannover.

BILD says Wimmer is set to join the Bundesliga outfit on a season-long loan with the option to sign permanently next summer.

Wimmer, 25, moved to Stoke for €20m from Tottenham, but struggled to make an impact at the Brit.

The Potters were eager to clear him off their books after relegation.
