Stoke City boss Pulis hands olive branch to Beattie

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has indicated that striker James Beattie could have a future at the club.

Reports suggested that the 32-year old was on his way out from Britannia Stadium as he had fallen out of favour following the now infamous dressing room disagreement with Pulis back in December.

But recent comments from the boss point toward the former Southampton and Everton star remaining in a Stoke shirt this season.

"Beattie and (Dave) Kitson are both Stoke City players," Pulis said.

"At the moment they are working as hard as the others to keep fit and if we need them for next season, we need them for next season."
