Stoke City chief Tony Scholes is delighted with their early summer market work.
Scholes is sure the current Stoke squad has already received a lift from the arrivals this summer of Phil Bardsley, Steve Sidwell, Mame Diouf and Dionatan Teixeira.
He said: "We've managed to do four good deals for four good players. When the squad returns for training they will be joined by four good new players. I think the existing players will get a boost from that as well. There has already been a very positive response and it's important we keep looking to improve."
