Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has paid tribute to Sir Tom Finney after he passed away last week.
The former Preston North End passed on at the age of 91.
Coates told The Sentinel: "I saw him play - and he was tremendous.
"He is one of the very best British players I've ever seen, the nearest equivalent to George Best in his style of play.
"He had wonderful skill and great balance. He could dribble, he could head, he could pass, cross and shoot. Basically, he could do anything he wanted with a football.
"He would be in my all-time team, of course, and I should think he would be anyone else's too."
