Stoke City chairman Peter Coates is confident the team will meet fans' expectations next season.

He said: "We will try to meet those expectations and will be doing our very best to have another great season.

"We are very pleased with our season-ticket sales so far and I am confident we will meet our target of selling 20,000.

"We have had two terrific seasons and our supporters have been pleased with our progress.

"But they are also realistic and know how well we have done so far. They have been brilliant with us and I am sure that will continue next season."
