Stoke boss wants more of the same from Lawrence

Stoke City chief Tony Pulis is hoping that Liam Lawrence can continue his match-winning display of last week. Lawrence has spent much of the season on the sidelines with a series of injuries, meaning that the winner against Blackburn was only his second goal of the season.

"Goals always give players a lift," said the Pulis of the midfielder's 75th minute clincher.

"I am sure Liam will be desperate to perform in the last five games as he has had injury problems.

"He has missed a good chunk of the season. Now he looks fresh and gives us good options in wide areas."
