Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is hoping he can tie up the services of Brek Shea in the next 24 hours.
The FC Dallas winger underwent a medical with the Potters on Tuesday and also attended the clubs 2-2 draw with Wigan Athletic at the Britannia Stadium ahead of a proposed transfer.
Pulis said: ''I think it is close now, and we are hoping that we can get that deal done in the next day or so."
Shea has been linked with the Potters for a few weeks now and it appears that an agreement has finally been made in order for him to join fellow USA international Geoff Cameron in Staffordshire before Thursday's deadline.
