Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has played down talk of big money signings this month.

Pulis has distanced himself from reports linking him to multi-million pound swoops for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker and Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones.

He said: "Scott Parker is out for eight weeks. And we've had Kenwyne here before on loan, so you're going to be linked with these players."
