Stoke City boss Tony Pulis admits their move for West Ham United midfielder Radoslav Kovac is dead.
Pulis has now decided to look elsewhere as he looks to strengthen his squad before the close of the transfer window at the end of the month.
"We got close to a deal for Kovac last week, but West Ham pulled him back and wanted him to stay so that one is over with," said Pulis.
"We have tried to get deals done which have just not dropped for us so you just have to move on and we have got other targets now that we are trying to bring in."
