Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was upset with Newcastle United matchwinner Papiss Cisse.
Pulis insisted Cisse could have been sent off after a second-half flare-up with centre-backs Marc Wilson and Ryan Shawcross.
Pulis said: "Cisse could easily have been off the pitch.
"He raised his hands twice. He pushed Willo and then he slapped Ryan. He raised his hands and caught Ryan round the face.
"We could also have had a first-half penalty so I am distraught by the result but the performance and effort of the players was first-class."
