Stoke City boss Mark Hughes admits he'll need multiple transfer windows to build the squad he wants.
He has only signed defenders Erik Pieters and Marc Muniesa, along with Oussama Assaidi, Stephen Ireland and Marko Arnautovic on loan.
Hughes said: "It's not going to take one window, it'll take a number of windows over a period of time. We're going to try and do it at the right level and the right pace.
"I've experienced situations where you make too many changes - it can work, but sometimes it can't. The group here is a strong Premier League group. But we just need to add a bit more quality."
