Stoke boss Hughes says they're well prepared for Rochdale

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes says they won't underestimate FA Cup opponents Rochdale.

Stoke are keeping a close eye on conditions at Rochdale amid fears the weather could jeopardise the televised fixture.

But Hughes insists nothing will disrupt his preparations as he plots a way past a team currently lying fifth in League One and which put out Nottingham Forest at Spotland in the last round.

"We have spoken to people who have come up against them this season," Hughes said, "and there is a healthy respect for them.

"We made hard work of it in the last round against Wrexham, and credit to them because they gave it a real go, and we can expect the same from Rochdale.

"The FA Cup was very good to me as a player, but I went to many grounds where the crowd was on top of you and desperate to beat you.

"I'm sure it will be the same against Rochdale, but if we play as well as we did against Leicester, then Rochdale will find it difficult to overcome us. So we've got to make sure that's how we play."
