Stoke City boss Mark Hughes fears a ban for Andy Wilkinson after his dismissal in victory over FC Dallas.

Wilkinson had been on the pitch barely 10 minutes when he dived in on a loose ball and caught his man in the 82nd minute.

"I think Andy held his hands up because he's just caught him," Hughes conceded to The Sentinel, "but the lad made a bit of a meal of it.

"We'll have to see what happens with Andy now. It depends on if the referee puts in a report.

"I think he will do because the game was well publicised, so there will be an obligation to do so."
