Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is pushing to sign Liverpool pair Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings.
Hughes wants to land Liverpool striker Sturridge as a priority.
And if Stoke boss Hughes fails to get him, he will look to his Anfield team-mate Ings, says The Sun.
Stoke cannot sign both on loan as they are allowed only two Premier League stars on temporary deals and Chelsea's Kurt Zouma is already at the club.
Hughes says the Potters are a good option as many of their players like to live in nearby Cheshire.
He added: “We use our geography — that plays a part in recruitment."
