Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has accused Barnsley attacker Ashley Barnes of elbowing Bruno Martins Indi.
Martins Indi is fit to face Arsenal at The Emirates this weekend, but only after X-rays revealed his cheekbone wasn't fracture after the Dutch international was caught by Barnes last Saturday.
“I'm not about getting players into trouble," said Hughes. “I didn't make a song and dance of it after the game because I hadn't at that point seen the challenge.
“But having seen it since, I thought there was clearly intent there and I was very surprised that it wasn't picked up."
He added: “Maybe it just got lost. But that shouldn't happen. I think I saw ex-referees on the Monday morning explaining it away by saying it was unintentional. They clearly haven't played the game because I took a completely different view, as most of the guys connected with the club did."
