Steve McClaren named QPR manager: Great to be back

Steve McClaren has been confirmed new manager of QPR.

The ex-Newcastle and Middlesbrough chief, 57, has reportedly agreed a two-year deal for his second spell at Loftus Road.

He was on Harry Redknapp's backroom staff for three months in 2013 before the first of his two stints as Derby manager.

McClaren - sacked by Derby in his last job 14 months ago - said: "It's great to be back and it's a challenge that I'm excited by.

"I like to play attractive, attacking football - and we've got young, hungry footballers here who can play that way."
