Central Coast Mariners coach Lawrie McKinna believes Mile Sterjovski would be the perfect fit for his club. The Derby County forward looks certain to move on from Pride Park and a shift back to Australia has been on the cards for some time.
McKinna would love for Sterjovski to become a Mariner but said a deal was still a fair way off.
"If I'm being asked would I be interested in adding Mile Sterjovski to my squad then the answer would be yes, I'd love to," he said.
"I think there's quite a few things between Mile coming back (to Australia) never mind which club here.
"I think there's interest from other countries but yes, I think he would fit in great with the club here. He's a great professional, a family man and he'd love the Central Coast."
