Sterjovski back in favour at Derby

Mile Sterjovski is enjoying life under new Derby County boss Nigel Clough.

The Australian forward wasn't even considered when Paul Jewell was in charge of the Rams but he has managed to work his way back into contention since Clough has taken the reins at Pride Park.

"It was tough there for me under Paul Jewell. I wasn't playing but since the arrival of Nigel Clough, there's been a huge turnaround for me," Sterjovski told SBS.

"When I was out, I didn't let it affect me. I trained hard and even put in extra work. I kept positive and now hopefully the rewards are coming for me.

"I think I am more his (Nigel Clough's) sort of player. It's just a matter now of getting sharper and fitter. I'm really just enjoying playing football again."
