Stefano Pioli has resigned as coach of Fiorentina.
Pioli made the decision believing management had lost confidence in him.
Explaining his decision to ANSA, the 53-year-old said: “I've always assumed my responsibilities.
“I've always guaranteed professionalism, respect and maximum commitment in my work: I reluctantly see myself forced to leave, resigning, because my professional and above all human qualities have been questioned."
The Tuscans have won just one of their last 11 games, although they have a Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Atalanta to look forward to.
