Wolves defender Richard Stearman admits that he feels 'like the forgotten man' at Molineux. The 22-year-old began this season as the regular right-back in Mick McCarthy's side, but he has failed to regain a first-team place since being sent off against Wigan in January.
The former Leicester player has confessed his disappointment at his situation, but accepts that he will need to fight his way back into McCarthy's plans.
"I feel like the forgotten man at the moment but it was good to get a run-out to keep the fitness up," Stearman told Wolves' official website after a reserve team match on Tuesday. "I've felt ready for the first team since I first came out of the side.
"You'd like to think performances in training and in the reserves will count.
"It's just a case of knuckling down and hopefully the manager will remember what I've done and if I get my chance, then great.
"The lads have done really well and picked up a few points so it's part and parcel of the game."
