STATS SPECIAL: Liverpool backed in to get better of Sunderland

Football supporters have their faith in Liverpool beating Sunderland this weekend.

According to data gathered by Football Addicts, 81% of fans feel the Reds will make it three wins in a row when they host the Black Cats on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool side had gone through a tough spell when losing three-straight Premier League matches before beating Stoke City 1-0 last weekend prior to the 3-1 midweek triumph over Leicester City.

That form has equated to the majority of fans tipping the Merseysiders to produce another win while only 13% feel Gus Poyet's Sunderland can record their third win of the campaign.

According to the poll, Liverpool's most important performers so far this term have been Raheem Sterling, Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho while for the Black Cats, Sebastian Larsson, Connor Wickham and Vito Mannone have been the key players.
