Dejan Stankovic senses a new confidence inside the Inter Milan squad after their breakthrough win against Chievo on Friday.

The Nerazzurri host Marseille at San Siro on Tuesday looking to overturn the 1-0 Champions League first leg loss.

"We're optimistic after our performance at Verona," said Stankovic.

"It won't be an easy game, we know Marseille well and they collected more points in their away games during the group stages.

"They'll look to close down the game as we have to come from behind, but we have to make sure that we don't leave space for them to attack on the counter."
