St Mirren wants Celtic's Watt on loan

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon wants Celtic young gun Tony Watt on loan.

The 19-year old striker has sporadically impressed for the Hoops over the past 12 months but could need regular first team football to really flourish.

The Daily Record suggests that Lennon is hoping he can bring Watt to Paisley for a short-term spell but that will only be made possible if Neil Lennon can sign another striker before the transfer window closes.

The Hoops currently have just Anthony Stokes, Amido Balde and Watt as out and out attacking options but are after Schalke's Teemu Pukki and to a lesser extent, Werder Bremen's Marko Arnautovic.
