St Mirren defender talks up Scottish football

Lee Mair wants a more positive slant being put on Scottish football rather than the constant criticism of late. As Saint Mirren prepare to face Celtic, Mair claims Scottish football is not as bad as most people are making it out to be and wants to see some positivity instead.

"I think everyone is just jumping on a bandwagon that Scottish football is on the way down," he said.

"Everyone has to look at the better side and start praising the game. Everyone is talking down the game - the national team and Rangers and Celtic, who are the two best teams.

"I think we need to go the opposite way and talk Scottish football up for a change. I don't think things are that bad."
