St Johnstone's Davidson not getting carried away with new Rangers link

St Johnstone star Murray Davidson insists he can handle the pressure of again being linked with Rangers.

The 24-year old midfielder was the subject of a £150,000 bid from the Ibrox outfit last year and admits everyday life was a bit difficult around the time of the frenzied interest.

However, Davidson is purely focused on the job at hand with the Saints and is taking the new 'Gers speculation in his stride.

"Of course I've seen a couple of things recently linking me. That's when you have to make sure you block it out," he said.

"All I can do is concentrate on things on the park. What happens off it, I have no control over.

"Last time it was more of a problem walking down the street. My family is a Rangers family and I'm from a Rangers area. If I was going to the shops, people saw Rangers had put in a bid and mentioned it.

"It doesn't matter who you're linked with, you have to be professional and get on with your job."
