St Johnstone have given manager Steve Lomas permission to speak to Millwall regarding their vacancy.
The Lions are without a boss following Kenny Jackett's decision to leave for Wolves and have turned to former Manchester City, West Ham United and QPR midfielder Lomas who guided the Saints to third place in the SPL last season.
"I have been contacted by Millwall and following discussions have given them consent to speak to Steve Lomas," said Saints chairman Steve Brown.
"Steve is an ambitious and talented manager and I'm disappointed but not surprised that his progress has been monitored by other clubs. As with our previous two managers, we will not stand in the way of Steve if he agrees to join Millwall."
