St Etienne are pulling back from talks for Tottenham midfielder Georges-Kévin Nkoudou.

Nkoudou is a target for ASSE coach Jean-Louis Gasset, who is close to Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.

However, ASSE management have informed Gasset they're focusing on other targets before moving for the Frenchman.

Le Progres says St Etienne are focusing on a deal for Olympique Marseille midfielder Remy Cabella this month.

If their efforts are thwarted, then they will turn to Spurs for Nkoudou.
