St Etienne have reached a breakthrough in their push for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Le 10 Sport says an agreement between ASSE, Palace and Mateta's parent club has been reached.

Mateta will play his last game for Palace this weekend in the FA Cup tie with Millwall before leaving for ASSE.

At ASSE, the striker will be reunited with Pascal Dupraz, his former coach at Lyon.

Palace are happy to release Mateta, despite an upturn in his form in recent weeks.
