St Etienne defender William Saliba would rather join Arsenal then Tottenham.

The 18-year-old central defender is wanted by both North London clubs after an excellent campaign with Saint-Etienne.

Saliba is reportedly worth £25million - which would constitute over half of Arsenal's £45m transfer budget.

The Times says Saliba has no intention of heading to Spurs if the option to join Arsenal is on the table.

A deal could be struck next week.
