Sriwijaya coach Rahmad Darmawan admitted his side was defeated by a much better outfit in their 3-0 loss to Gamba Osaka in the Asian Champions League.
The Indonesian side are winless in the competition and Darmawan conceded that maybe they aren't up to the standard.
"We must come to a realisation that we have been beaten by a better team and that's all I can say about the game tonight," he said.
"My strategy was to lure them with our offside trap and expose them on the counter-attack but obviously that didn't work as their first goal was a result of our failed trap.
"It is simply a case of being beaten by a much better and more experienced team.
"We salute the Gamba team and it showed from their performance why they are the defending champions."
