Tottenham are set to resume their pursuit of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Spurs and Manchester United were heavily linked with the attacking midfielder this summer.

However, neither club made a bid that was sufficient for Sporting to sell the Portuguese star.

A Bola says Spurs will make another offer in January, especially if they can offload Christian Eriksen.

Spurs are desperate to refresh their squad, and Fernandes would be seen as a natural replacement for Eriksen in the starting line up.

The 25-year-old has not made it a secret that he wishes to move to a bigger club, while Sporting would welcome a mega offer.
