Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is sweating on an agreement with Paraguay defender Paulo da Silva.
The Sunday Sun says Bruce has offered out-of-contract defender Da Silva a three-year deal on Wearside.
Tottenham are also keen on the experienced Toluca stopper.
