Spurs striker Pekhart ready for World Cup final

Tottenham's Czech Republic striker Tomas Pekhart is set to feature in the U20 World Cup final.

He came off the bench to play the final half-hour as goals from Tomas Micola and Martin Fenin gave the Czechs victory over Austria in the semi-finals in Canada.

Signed last summer from Slavia Prague, Pekhart, who scored an impressive 19 goals in 20 games for the Spurs academy side last season, scored the decisive penalty in a shoot-out against Spain in the quarter-finals.

They will now face either Chile or Argentina in the final in Toronto on Sunday.

"We played really well and I don't think it's really set in yet just how much this all means to our team and our whole nation," Pekhart told the official Spurs website.
