Tottenham captain Michael Dawson admits their thrashing at home by Manchester City has been hard to take.

City thumped Spurs 5-1 at White Hart Lane last week.

"It's certainly been a hard experience to take," said Dawson. "In all the time that I've been here, I've never been beaten like that and it's not easy to take.

"You are sat in the dressing room and the manager takes the brunt of it, but as players we take responsibility and you could say we let the manager down."
