Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld feels the North London club dominated their 2-1 Champions League defeat to Monaco but failed to convert their chances.
Spurs had started the game brightly, but they found themselves two goals down after 31 minutes at Wembley.
Alderweireld managed to pull back one on the stroke of half-time, but Spurs couldn't add another one in the second half as their Group E campaign kicked without a point.
"Scoring creates momentum and we dominated the game in the second half," the Belgian told BT Sport.
"We had chances but we couldn't score. We put a lot of energy in but we couldn't force it."
