Tottenham are ready to sell Danny Rose to Newcastle United.

The Spurs defender is on loan at the Magpies for the rest of the season.

And it appears the England international could move there permanently.

The Northern Echo suggests that senior Spurs officials are happy to move the 29-year-old off the wage bill.

And manager Jose Mourinho does not see Rose in his long term plans either.

He plans to build a youthful team, and Rose's age and contract demands would mean he is not an ideal fit at Spurs anymore.
