Tottenham are lining up a move for Southampton defender Jannick Vestergaard.
Ekstra Bladet via Fotboll Transfers reports Spurs' new management team of Nuno and Fabio Paratici are in agreement over the Dane.
Spurs manager Nuno is a fan of Vestergaard and sporting director Paratici feels the same.
Clubs in Spain, Italy and Germany have also shown an interest.
However Vestergaard, who is with Denmark's Euro 2020 squad, favours staying in England and joining Spurs. The Dane is now inside the final year of his current contract.
For his part, Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is eager not to lose his centre-half.
Vestergaard's value to Southampton was confirmed in his absence last season. Saints were seventh on the Premier League table before he collected a knee injury in December and they slipped down the ladder in his absence. He also missed the 9-0 defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
